05. AWS X-Ray Overview

AWS X-Ray helps developers analyze and debug distributed applications (like microservices) in production or under load. It provides end-to-end tracing, performance insights, and a visual service map to understand how requests flow through your system.

Traditional debugging relies on logs scattered across multiple services.
In monolithic apps, debugging is easy — everything is in one place.
